Anxiety Therapy for Your Whole System
Anxiety often shows up in both the mind and the body, especially if you’re used to doing too much. In therapy, we’ll work on nervous system regulation in moments when you’re used to anxiety taking the driver’s seat, practicing tools that you can bring with you outside the therapy room.
We’ll work with the anxious part (or parts) of you to better understand the purpose they serve and how your anxiety has been trying to help. We’ll explore how and when these patterns developed and what more vulnerable part of you they may be protecting. Over time, we’ll build a trusting relationship with the parts of you that learned to rely on anxiety for safety or control, offering them new possibilities for support and healing.
We’ll also track how anxiety lives in your body, using mindfulness to observe and stay with sensations such as pressure, tension, or restlessness. From that mindful place, we’ll notice what wants to happen next in your body and allow these experiences to unfold so that the deeper emotional material underneath can emerge and be processed. Throughout all this work, we’ll remain grounded in the safety of the present, even as we access and heal the parts of you that carry fear or helplessness.
This work is especially well-suited for people who are curious about their inner world and open to slowing down, tuning in, and building a more trusting relationship with themselves. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear goal—just a willingness to explore what’s happening beneath the surface.
If you’re unsure whether this is the right fit, a free consultation is a low-pressure way to ask questions and get a feel for how we might work together.
Is anxiety therapy right for you?
This approach to anxiety therapy might be a good fit if you:
✧ Often—or always—feel a little anxious, on edge, or overwhelmed, even if you seem “fine” to everyone else
✧ Are well versed in overthinking, keeping everyone else happy, and trying to get everything “right”
✧ Notice anxiety showing up in your body—as tension, restlessness, or difficulty resting
✧ Want to understand the deeper roots of your anxiety, not just manage symptoms
✧ Are open to a body-based approach, being guided into mindfulness to drop into the body and your inner system to work with what arises
